What we do

How does PennyMac Loan Services, LLC protect my personal information?

To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with state and federal law. These measures include computer safeguards and secured files and buildings.

How does PennyMac Loan Services, LLC collect my personal information?

We collect your personal information, for example, when you:

  • apply for a loan or provide your mortgage information
  • give us your contact information or give us your income information
  • provide account information

We also collect your personal information from others, such as credit bureaus, affiliates, or other companies.

Why can’t I limit all sharing?

Federal law gives you the right to limit only

  • sharing for affiliates’ everyday business purposes – information about your creditworthiness
  • affiliates from using your information to market to you
  • sharing for nonaffiliates to market to you

What happens when I limit sharing for an account I hold jointly with someone else?
Your choices will apply to everyone on your account.

Definitions

Affiliates

Companies related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies. Our affiliates include companies with a Pennymac name.

Nonaffiliates

Companies not related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies. PennyMac Loan Services, LLC does not share with nonaffiliates so they can market to you.

Joint marketing

A formal agreement between nonaffiliated financial companies that together market financial products or services to you. Our joint marketing partners include mortgage companies, insurance companies, and companies that provide financial products and services.

Other important information

California Residents: We will not share your information with nonaffiliated third parties for their marketing purposes except with your express consent. We will not share your personal information with affiliates or with other financial companies for joint marketing purposes if you ask us not to using the opt-out form or instructions called “Important Privacy Choices for Consumers” provided with this notice.

Nevada Residents: This notice is provided to you pursuant to state law.
